15 months cancer freeViews: 3045

Wow! 15 months cancer free. It is amazing. I completed a course from the American Cancer Society to work with other breast cancer patients. It is part of the Reach for Recovery program. Unbelievable that my surgeon would endorse me. I was the patient on the edge of going alternative medicine.

Next, I never wrote about Dubai. It was the hottest place I have ever visited. My daughter and I were excited upon arrival and immediately went to the beach. The sand slipped into our sandals and burned our feet. We ran towards the water expecting the nice cooling effect but encountered scalding hot temperature. It was not the refreshing ocean water we were expecting. We saw the sights, indoor skiing, Burj Al Arab (the worlds most expensive hotel), and gold market. It was a sight to behold. Many women in full burka and many westerners. Most women from abroad are dressed in a conservative manner. It was a really unique experience.

Next, I have decided to get in shape. I have lost some weight due to a daily 4 mile jog. It is difficult to keep myself motivated but the scale has finally budged and my clothes are beginning to fit. Of course, I have eliminated most breads and sugars as well. I am back on a diet of leafy greens and mostly vegetarian.

I hope everyone is doing well. I have submitted several articles to various magazines regarding romantic travel destinations, best cruise deals, and how to travel with pets. If anyone needs any type of travel expertise please ask me.

Yeah!

That is wonderful that you’ll be working with other breast cancer patients! Its a little easier knowing that others have gone through this before us.

Do you have any travel advice for Belize? =o)

That is so wonderful that your surgeon recommend you and you are going to work with other cancer patients. Good for you, way to give back. Thanks for doing that!
