Wow! I am so excited to find a community of breast cancer patients and survivors. What a great forum! I have completed chemotherapy and surgery. I would love to talk to anyone that chose expander reconstruction and about their finished result.

Welcome Melissa – so glad you found this group. Let me know if you have any questions. Excited to hear more from you. Glad you are finished with chemo.
You can also use the serach box

to type in “expander reconstruction” to see who has been talking about this. Cheers!

Welcome to the family.

Melissa,
I myself still have to go through the process of expander reconstruction after mastectomy… but the radiation nurse, who was diagnosed a year ago, asked me if I wanted to see her reconstruction(she was almost finished with the process). If mine turn out looking anything like hers, I will be very happy. Doctors can do such amazing things these days. It looks like you were diagnosed at almost the exact same time as I was. How are you getting through everything? Did you do chemo before or after surgery? Take care and good luck with the rest of your treatments.
